Glossary
Kamigotchi — your NFT pet, necessary to play the game. Kami for short.
$MUSU — the in-game currency, used for trading, buying items, and for minting Kamigotchi NFTs.
$ONYX — our token on Baseline.
Affinity — your Kami's type matches the room type, making them harvest faster.
Cooldown — any actions a Kami takes places them on a 180 second cooldown. It may be lowered with skills and items.
Co-Op quest — special quests completed through collaborative efforts that often open up new areas on the map. They have tiered rewards, decided by the amount you contribute.
Crafting — many items can be broken down, refined or combined into new ones.
Consumables — most crafted items are consumables and are consumed when used.
Liquidated — a liquidated Kami is dead, but may be revived with an item such as
Red Ribbon Gummy.
Gacha Ticket — bought with $MUSU at the Vending Machine. Use a Gacha Ticket to mint a Kami.
Harmony — a defensive stat that makes a Kami less likely to be liquidated and faster at regaining HP when resting.
Harvesting — a Kami having your Kami on a node means they're harvesting. The only way to create $MUSU.
Health — your Kami's health drains when harvesting and makes them a target for Predators. When low they should be rested or topped up with an HP Item (e.g.
Pom-Pom Fruit Candy).
KWOB (Kamigotchi World Orderbook) — the in-game P2P marketplace.
Liquidation — the killing of another Kami and taking their $MUSU.
Map — you move between rooms by clicking on tiles on the map. The map can be filtered, e.g. by node type.
Node — locations where Kami harvest $MUSU. Often used interchangeably with room or tile. Some rooms, like Vending Machine, can't be harvested in.
Operator — your in-game identity.
Operator Wallet — your in-game Privy wallet for transactions.
Owner Wallet — your external wallet (Metamask, Rabby etc.).
Passport — a testnet reward and future equipment for Kami.
Power — determines how fast a Kami harvest.
Predator — a Kami specialized in liquidating other Kami.
Reagents — crafting ingredients made from breaking down items.
Recoil — health damage taken by an attacker after liquidating.
Resting — when a Kami isn't on a node they passively recover HP over time.
Reroll Ticket — bought from the Vending Machine and used to swap out one of your Kami, for a random one present in the Vending Machine.
Room — every tile on the map is a room you can travel to.
Room Type — like Kami rooms have types, and type affinity between Kami and room increases their harvest rate.
Scavenge — every node has a Scavenge meter which fills up as you collect $MUSU. At certain intervals you can roll for one of the items present in that node. These rolls don't spend $MUSU, but are complimentary.
Skills — levelling your Kami allows you to specialize them.
Stamina — your Operator's movement resource. It regenerates over time and can be topped up with items.
Starvation — when a Kami's HP hits zero, they're stuck on the node until fed.
Time — Kamigotchi World has 36-hour days, divided into Daylight, Evenfall, and Moonside.
Traits — background, body, color, face, and hand; they determine a Kami's base stats.
Type — Eerie, Scrap, Insect, or Normal; determined by Hand and Body traits. In PvP the attacker use their Hands, while the defender use their Body.
Violence — the primary stat for Predators.
